Conklin Crescent 30 – Medium Flex – (On Ebay)
Here is a hundred year old Conklin Crescent size 30 in BCHR. The hard rubber is a dark brown. Chasing is visible but smooth on the body, but still has decent texture on the cap. The gold-filled clip and crescent still look great with no brassing. The imprints are worn, almost smooth in spots, but mostly readable. The made in Toledo 14kt. Conklin #3 nib is a very wet and smooth F (0.45mm). The flex on this nib has decent range going up to BB (1.5mm) and lays down plenty of ink. But the nib does lack some the ease of flex and especially the responsiveness of a higher grade flex nib. Thus, the “medium flex” grade. Still, a beautiful vintage Crescent with a buttery nib.
