Mabie Todd Swan- Wet Noodle (See Price Here)
Here is a made in England Mabie Todd “Swan” with an over/ under feed. The black chased hard rubber has faded to a dark brown and the chasing is pretty worn though lightly visible. The imprints are also worn, thought mostly readable. This is a thin pen similar thickness to a #2 pencil. The 14kt. Mabie Todd nib is a great wet noodle nib with near paintbrush ease of flex. This is an eyedropper pen, and being as thin as it is and having such a wet feed it is very important that you keep the barrel half full or so of ink. If less than that, the thin internal chamber will get warm and the warm air will push out the ink much faster resulting in gushing. But if you keep it half full, you should be good to go. The nib writes smooth and wet normally as a F (0.4mm) and flexes all the way up to 2.2mm. For how wet it is, it still maintains quite good responsiveness. Overall a great, hard to come by flex pen.
