Arthur A. Waterman Twist Filler – Wet Noodle (On Ebay)
This is a very interesting pen that unfortunately is not in great condition. It is an Arthur A. Waterman pen (no relation to L.E. Waterman) of New York. It is made of BCHR that is still pretty black. The chasing is still pretty decent as is the imprint. It has a patent date of Aug 31, 1915. It fills by twisting then releasing the back knob. When I got this pen the back knob was in pieces, which I have glued back together and restored the filling system. The nib is too big for the pen (a #4 and I think it should probably be a #2), and as a result was bent on one end to fit in the section (see pics). The cap is also missing the clip (see pics). Nevertheless, the 14kt. A.A. Waterman nib is still very flexible going from a 0.6mm to 2.5mm with ease. It will railroad with more watery inks, though. The nib writes as a rather wet medium.
