Waterman 15 Eyedropper  – SUPER FLEX (On Ebay)

Here is a Waterman 15 eyedropper. These are much rarer than 12s and even 14s. It is a good condition with some browning to the body, less so to the cap. The chasing is worn but visible. Again, much less wear on the cap. Imprints are still pretty good. The gold bands show no signs of brassing. There are no cracks or teeth marks. There is a very, very small chip out of the bottom edge of the section, but it really isn’t a problem. The #5 14kt. nib is a nice large XF nib. This was a tough nib to grade. It is a bit stiff to be a super flex, but it has good range and very good responsiveness. So it is right on the border between “good” and “super” flex.

Wahl-Eversharp Skyline (Demi) – Wet Noodle  (On Ebay)

Here is a gorgeous Skyline in Demi size. It is black celluloid with a gold filled cap and trim. The pen is great overall condition. There is some very minor scratching on the body. A few very tiny dings on the cap and a some light scratching. A little bit of brassing on the lever, but no where else that I could tell. The nib is a fantastic flex nib with Wet Noodle range and ease. However, there is a small crack at the back of the air hole that travels back to the “S” in the  “EVERSHARP” imprint (see pic). The nib writes ultra smooth and is quite wet.

Wahl-Eversharp Doric – Good Flex – (On Ebay)

Here is a stunning 1st Generation Wahl Doric Junior in Morroco (Red & Gold swirl) celluloid). This pen is in great condition without the crystalized ends that are so common on these pens. These are high quality pens. The gold filled trim looks fantastic. There is some light scratching that I tried to show in the pics. The pen looks so much more stunning in person than what the pictures can capture. It comes with a 14kt. Eversharp “Flexible” nib. However, the nib doesn’t have the ease of flex to be a “Super flex.” It is still a very nice nib and is also a good writer.

Conklin Ring Top- Good Flex – (On Ebay)

Here is a pretty green and black speckled ring top. I believe the pen is made from a hard rubber rather than celluloid. The pen is in very good condition. The imprint is good and the trim is also very good with only some minor brassing on the cap band. It has a nice 14kt. Toledo nib (the better quality nibs were made earlier in Toledo rather than later in Chicago). The flex is “good” but not “super.” It has decent range but lacks the ease of a super flex. It is a nice, soft writing nib. Pretty little pen.

Waterman 52 – Wet Noodle  (On Ebay)

Here is a nice BCHR Waterman 52. It’s got some typical browning and the chasing is worn though visible. At some point, the hard rubber was polished. The nickel trim is in good condition, but does have some plate loss on the clip. Much less on the lever. The nib is great, but it had a small crack that I had repaired coming from the breather hole. Later I discovered another very tiny crack developed on the other side of the hole.  Nevertheless, this is a great Wet Noodle that goes from XF (0.3mm) to BBB (2.0mm). It’s also a good normal, everyday writer. The nib has a nice smooth flex, and I have never railroaded this feed.

Waterman Ink Vue Lady Patricia – SUPER FLEX  (On Ebay)

This is a pretty Waterman Ink Vue Lady Patricia (not Patrician as the writing sample says, oops). The Waterman Ink Vue filling system is kind of between a Waterman lever filler and a Parker Vacumatic. The pen is much prettier in person than what I can capture with the pics, and is the same size as a 3V. There is some wear on the chrome plated band but otherwise the trim is in good condition. There is still some barrel clarity, so if you hold up the barrel to the light you can see how much ink is in there. The nib is a great Super Flex nib. Pretty responsive and easy to control. This is a great durable, portable pen that is a good writer and has some great flex.

Wahl-Eversharp Skyline – Good Flex – (On Ebay)

This is a nice dark green Wahl Eversharp Skyline standard size. It is in quite good condition. There is some light scratching but I have buffed out a lot of it. There is one bigger scratch next to the bottom of clip where it dug a bit into the cap. Gold filled trim is in good condition with only a slight amount of brassing on the lever. There is also a small ding on the gold band running over the top of the cap. The nib is not the usual extremely wet Eversharp nib. Instead it is a smoothXF/XXF (0.25mm) that is quite drier than most Eversharp nibs I’ve used. I wouldn’t call it dry, just drier than typical for a Skyline. The flex was hard to grade. It is really on the border between good and super flex.

Waterman 52 – Good Flex  (On Ebay)

Here is a gorgeous Waterman 52 in close to mint condition.  The black hard rubber on the cap is slightly faded. Not even brown. Just a slightly duller black. The rest of the pen is shiny, jet black. The chasing is very good and the imprints are clear and crisp. There is little to no brassing on the gold filled trim. Some light scratching on the band if you look close. Band imprint says “N.Y.M.B.S.A 1-15-1926.” The nib is a very nice Waterman Ideal #2 14kt. nib with good flex. It writes a very smooth fine line (0.4mm) and flexes up to 1.7mm.

Waterman 12 Eye Dropper – Wet Noodle  (On Ebay)

This is a Waterman 12 eyedropper in smooth black hard rubber (no original chasing). The hard rubber is still pretty dark with minimal browning. The imprints are faded but you can still read them. The accommodation clip (it had no original clip) is in pretty good condition, though it does have some plate loss on the actually clip part. It appears to be nickel plated over bronze. The nib is a very wet fine and is very flexible. It is a very nice, responsive,  flex nib with great ease of flex. It also writes wet and smooth. The nib does unfortunately have a very small crack coming out of the breather hole in the right side, which I could pick up in the picture. In the interest of full disclosure, this nib was also recently retipped by Greg Minuskin.

Waterma 12 1/2 Eyedropper – Super Flex (On Ebay)

This is a very nice little pen. There is some wear to the chasing and some fading to the black hard rubber but only to a dark brown. The gold band with beautiful flower repousse is in nice condition. There are no cracks but there are a few bite marks on the section. The imprints are still very crisp. This nib is fantastic. I don’t want to oversell a nib, but this is one of the better super flex nibs I’ve had in a while. It’s a needlepoint XXF with great responsiveness. Flex writing is easy and crisp. A real joy to work with.
