Waterman 52V – Super Flex (On Ebay)
Here is a gorgeous Waterman 52V in BCHR with gold-filled accents. The BCHR is a dark brownish black colors, so it has faded a bit. The chasing is visible with a little texture still but does have some wear. The imprints are readable but are worn. The “52V” is still very crisp. Other than some minor, surface scratching from normal use, the trim looks great. No brassing. The large band on the cap really sets these pens off as special and distinguished. The 14kt. Waterman #2 is a wet and smooth writing XF (0.3mm). It’s quite soft and slightly stubbish. They just don’t make nibs like these anymore. It also has nice flex ranging up to BB (1.5mm) that comes quite easily. Responsiveness is decent. Flow is great. Overall, a beautiful classic that when posted has the girth and feel of a 52 with the portability of a vest pen.
