Waterman 52 1/2 V – Super Flex (On Ebay)
This Waterman 52 1/2V has some fading in the BCHR. The chasing still looks pretty good with decent texture but it has faded to a dark brown. The imprints look good. The nickel trim is in good condition with no brassing. The 14kt. Waterman #2 is a wet writing F (0.4mm) with just a hint of feedback, though it’s still quite smooth. It has some really nice flex going easily up to BBB (1.6mm). The nib does have two very small cracks coming out of each of the breather hole. If you take good care of this nib and don’t over flex, the cracks should not grow. I’ve personally had a wet noodle nib with two cracks in the same places for over 6 years that I use everyday, and there has been no growth in them. If you are looking for a nice vintage flex nib for an affordable price, here is your chance.
