Conklin Crescent #30 – Super Flex – (On Ebay)
This is a superb crescent in the typical BCHR in near mint condition. The hard rubber is still black without any noticeable fading. The chasing and the imprints also look like new. The gold-filled trim also looks really good with no brassing to speak of. This pen looks to have hardly every been used. The 14kt. Conklin #3, made in Toledo nib is a smooth XXF / XF (0.25mm). It’s not as wet as the typical nibs of this era. I would say a 4/10 wetness, but it still writes plenty well and smooth. The flex is quite nice on this coming easily and going up to BBB (1.7mm). Responsiveness is also very good. Overall, a superb Crescent. It is not easy to find these in this kind of condition.
