Waterman 0752 1/2 – Super Flex (On Ebay)
This Waterman 0752 1/2 (the 07 refers to the gold-filled band and trim) is in superb condition. The smooth hard rubber (no original chasing) has faded a bit to a dark blackish brown. Really it looks more black than brown. The imprints on the side of the barrel have faded some and are only partially readable. The gold-filled trim looks pristine. There is no brassing. Maybe some very, very light micro scratching on the band from use but hardly much of anything. The lever and clip look really sharp. The 14kt. Waterman #2 is a smooth writing F (0.4mm). The nib is not a gusher but flow keeps up well. It’s a nice nib for everyday writing especially if you don’t care for the wet nibs typical of vintage pens. The flex on this nib is also very nice ranging from F to BBB (1.7mm). Ease of flex is decent, not amazing. Responsiveness is pretty good. Flow is fantastic and keeps up without issues. It’s an all around nib: it does everything well. And it’s in an all around lovely pen that looks great and has no flaws or issues.
