Parker Lucky Curve – Wet Noodle (See Price Here)
Here is a nice Parker Lucky Curve in a vest pen size. The black hard rubber is still jet black and does not appear to have faded at all over the years. There is some light scratching from its years of life, but nothing deep or significant. The chasing is still very crisp throughout the pen. The imprints also look great with very little wear to them. The gold-filled clip has no brassing that I could find. The best part of this pen, though, is the nib. It’s a 14kt. Lucky Curve #2. It is a very wet writing F that feels almost like a Medium due to it’s wetness. It is quite stubbish, and is smooth and soft and graceful. A great little writer. Additionally, the flex is beautifully soft. I have had softer nibs than this but not by much. I would call this a paintbrush flex. It takes very little pressure to get some nice variation. The nib flexes from 0.5mm (the picture is incorrect) to a huge 2.0mm. The flow is on the wet side even for flex pen and has no trouble keeping up. And the nib maintains some good responsiveness.
