Waterman 52 – Super Flex  (On Ebay)

This Waterman 52 is in very good condition. The BCHR is still quite back with only light fading. It’s browned a little but only very slightly. The casing is quite good with a lot of texture left. The imprints are very crisp. The nickel plated lever and clip do have some plate wear, but they look pretty good to just an eyeball test. The 14kt. Waterman #2 nib is a wet stubbish F/M (around 0.5mm) depending on the ink. It is also a oblique (see pic of the underside of the nib). At one point it appears that this nib sustained a little bending. It has a little wave in the tines, but this does not appear to affect the performance of the nib. It writes very wet normally and smooth if you write at the proper angle. It has near wet noodle ease of flex and very good responsiveness and goes up to 2.1mm (BBB).

• Pen (barrel, section, nib, feed, & cap) thoroughly cleaned & flushed
• Nib and trim polished
• Nib and feed ultrasonically cleaned
• Nib and feed tuned to write smoothly and with optimal flow
• Test driven for at least a week to insure quality
