Mabie Todd Swan Sterling Silver Ring Top – Semi Flex (On Ebay)
This is a New York made Mabie Todd ring top in sterling silver. The ring top is an impressively made piece, but it is quite small measuring 3 1/4″ capped and 4 3/8″ posted. The barrel diameter is about that of a #2 pencil. The sterling silver exterior is in overall good condition. It does have some scratching on the back due to posting the cap. Only light scratching elsewhere. There are also some spots that were heavily tarnished that I was not able to quite polish off. The 14kt. Mabie Todd #1 nib is a nice writing XF (0.3mm) that has a little bit of flex. It doesn’t hold a lot of ink, so it won’t run flex for very long. A gorgeous and super portable pen with some flex on the go.
