Vintage Ring Top Pen – Medium FLEX (On Ebay)
Here is an unbranded, vintage ring top pen in a gorgeous vibrant green and white marbled celluloid. The pen appears to be of a good quality and the celluloid pattern is stunning. The gold-filled trim is in good condition with only very slight brassing on the lever. The nib on this pen is not, I believe, original. It is a 14kt. EHCO (Eggens & Hambler Company). It writes normally as a glassy, smooth F (0.4m). The flex on this can go up to 1.9mm. On the writing sample, I graded it “Good/Medium Flex,” but I think I would just call it Medium Flex. Though it has good range of flex, it’s a bit stiff and lacks the good responsiveness of a higher grade flex. Still it’s a stunning pen.
