Vintage Gold Filigree Eyedropper – SUPER FLEX (On Ebay)
This an unbranded vintage eyedropper with a gold-filled filigree overlay. This pen is likely pre-1910, and though it isn’t branded it still an obviously high quality, solidly built pen. The hard rubber under the overlay has browned. This pen is probably pre-pocket clip and has no clip on the cap. The filigree looks great. There are just a couple small dings where a personalization could on the barrel (see pic), though there is no personalization. I could find no brassing on the pen. This pen has a 14kt. Waterman #2 and Waterman feed. The nib is a smooth writing XF (borderline XXF). It’s a fantastic smooth writer and the nib has a bit of character to it. I really enjoy writing with this pen. The flex is decent, though I would say this is a low level super flex. The person I bought it from described it as a “wet noodle,” but it is definitely not in that league. Still a beautiful, well made, hundred year plus eyedropper.
