Wahl-Eversharp Doric (Rare Burma) – Wet Noodle – (See Price Here)
Here is a first generation Wahl-Eversharp standard size Doric in the rare and desirable Burma color. Burma is a black/ pearl swirl. The color is good and there are no signs of crystallization. On the Burma Dorics the trim also came in silver and that is the case with this pen. The silver clip has significant brassing (see pics), but the lever and band are in good condition. The 14kt. Eversharp nib on this pen is superb. It is a very smooth fine that is wet though not gushing ink. It has a flex range up to 2.5mm. Ease of flex is borderline wet noodle (on border between super flex and wet noodle) so this isn’t a paintbrush. It is nevertheless a fabulous nib with some big flex in a rather rare Doric model. If the clip was in better condition, the price would be much higher. PRICE: $449
