Mabie Todd Swan- Super Flex (On Ebay)

Here is a made in England Mabie Todd Swan self filler #3220. It is made of navy blue celluloid. The pen is in excellent condition. There is very little brassing on the gold trim. Some on the ball of the clip. My two favorite features of this pen are first that it has metal threads which look classy and provide stability to the barrel. And second, the section screws into the barrel making repairs, internal cleaning, etc. simple. The pen does have some light scratching throughout the body, but I’ve buffed and polished a lot of it out. The 14kt. Mabie Todd nib is quite nice. It is a F (0.4mm) with a good deal of flex. I was actually able to get it above 2.0mm. There was something wrong with the paper I was using when I did the measurements. The flex is a bit stiffer than I would like for a super flex, but the line variation still makes it quite easy to do some good flex writing. It’s either a high “good flex” or a low “super flex” nib.
