Wahl-Eversharp Skyline – Super Flex – (On Ebay)

Here is a Standard size Wahl-Eversharp Skyline with a nice, flexible Everysharp nib. Skylines are a great design. Massively popular in the day. They just feel right in the hand. This Skyline is in solid Navy Blue. It looks pretty black until you put it next to black, and you see how blue it is. There is light scratching across the whole of the pen. I buffed out much of it, but there is still some there. There are a couple of bigger starches next to the clip (see pic). The lever has some plating loss, but otherwise the trim is in rather good condition. The section (the piece that holds the nib and feed) is faded a bit. The nib is a wonderful. I love Wahl nibs, and this one is no exception. The feed is plenty wet. No railroading here. The nib is a silky F. And it is a Super flex nib with broadness up to 1.8mm.

Waterman Stalwart – Semi Flex – (On Ebay)

A very nice Waterman Canadian Stalwart in silver swirl celluloid. It’s in overall pretty good condition. The clip is slightly crooked, and there is some brassing on the top of clip. There is also a little on the lever. The black section (the part that holds the feed and nib) has some light scratching on it. It is still a very beautiful pen. The 14kt. Waterman #2A has just a bit of flex, but it is a delightfully, glassy smooth XXF nib.

Waterman 52 1/2V Cardinal Red – SUPER  FLEX  (On Ebay)

Very pretty Waterman 52 1/2V in “cardinal red” hard rubber. I know it’s orange, but for whatever reason the folks at Waterman called it “cardinal red.” This is the second one I’ve had in a couple of weeks, which is a bit strange as it is the rarest of the Waterman hard rubber types.  It too is in pretty good condition. It does have some typical light scratching, but it’s much less noticeable than on celluloid. The gold filled trim is in good condition with a bit of brassing on the band. I see none on the lever or ring. The imprint on the side is good and crisp. The one toward the end of the barrel is worn a bit, but “52 1/2V” is very crisp.  The 14kt. Wateramn #2 nib is a very soft XF with Super Flex capabilities. It flexes up to 1.6mm, and the flex comes very easy.

Waterman 0852 1/2V  – Super Flex  (On Ebay)

Here is a BCHR Waterman 0852 1/2 V.  The “08” in the Waterman numbering system means broad gold-filled band. This pen is in near mint condition. The black hard rubber is jet black. The chasing is very crisp. The imprints look brand new. The pen almost looks brand new. I cannot see any brassing on the trim. The only minor flaw I see is that there is just a bit of browning on the section below the gold band. But you can only see that because the rest of the pen is so black. The initials “T.M.M.” is inscribed in the band. And as for the nib! I seriously almost didn’t put this one up for auction. The nib is one of the most responsive super flex nibs I have had. The snap back is just phenomenal. I liked it so much I couldn’t resist trying out my new R&K Alt-Goldgrun in it. This pen will not disappoint.

Waterman 55 Red Ripple – Medium Flex  (On Ebay)

A very nice Red Ripple 55. The 55 is a big pen. I took a pic comparing the diameter to that of the 52. The fading of the Red Ripple is minimal. The imprints have a little wear but are easily readable. There is just a little brassing on the gold band. The lever looks like it was scrapped at one point and then re-plated, so no brassing that I could tell. The only flaw is that it is missing it’s clip. Stick a nice accommodation clip on here and it would be a stunning pen. The nib is a very smooth XF. The flex was a little difficult to judge. It flexes quite easily and is smooth an fluid. But line variation and responsiveness aren’t quite good enough for a higher ranking. Still a big, beautiful, and relatively rare pen.

Waterman 52 – Super Flex  (On Ebay)

This is a Waterman 52 in decent condition. There is some browning of the hard rubber. The chasing and imprints are worn but visible. There is some plating and even a bit of rust on the clip and lever. The “Ideal” on the lever is worn but you can still read it. But there are no chips or cracks anywhere on the pen. The nib is a nice,  smooth writing XF with Super flex capabilities up to 1.8mm. The nib has nice responsiveness.

Waterman 552 1/2 V – SUPER FLEX (On Ebay)

A beautiful 552 1/2 V ring top in good condition. There is a little brassing around end of the barrel and a few dings there as well. Otherwise this is a very clean gold filled pen a lovely flower pattern. The real star of the pen is the nib, which really is a borderline noodle. Very easy to flex with a good range from XF to BBB (1.8mm). It works as a wet XF writer as well. But this nib was made to flex.

Waterman Wood Grain 52 1/2 V – SUPER FLEX!  (On Ebay)

Stunning Waterman 52 1/2 V in Wood Grain hard rubber. The condition is excellent. Minimal fading to the hard rubber. Imprints are crisp. The gold-filled trim has very little brassing. Just a bit on the band. The nib is a ultra smooth F with super flex capabilities going almost to 2.0mm. A beautiful pen that will not disappoint.

Parker Ladies Duofold – Semi-flex  (On Ebay)

This is a Parker Ladies Duofold permanite flat top with a large gold filled band and clip. There is some wear on the clip and band as can be seen in the pictures. The permanite has darkened to more an olive color as is common with Parker’s permanite pens. The nib is a very smooth fine/medium with a little bit of flex. Great for daily writing.
