Mabie Todd Swan S.F. – Medium Flex (On Ebay)
This made in England Mabie Todd Swan S.F. (self filler) is in good condition. The black body does have some light scratching throughout from typical use, but nothing major and much of it has buffed out. The gold-filled trim is in nice condition as well with no signs of brassing. There is an area where the body around the lever has bumped out a little (see pics). The inscription on the pen reads “Tabernacle Sciwen. Mr. D.H. Lewis 1947.” The imprints on the pen all look very good. On the swan on the top of the cap still has most of the white paint. The 14kt. Swan #2 is a wet writing F (0.5mm) that is a smooth, good writer. It has some flex going up to BB (1.6mm). The flex is a bit on the stiffer side, which is why I’ve graded it “medium flex.” Overall, a great vintage pen.
