Moore L-72 Ring Top – Good Flex
This is a version of the Moore L-72. it comes in a green and black marbled celluloid. The green part has faded in spots to a brownish color. There is some light scratching throughout the pen from use, but nothing significant. There are some light bite marks on the end of the barrel. The imprint is still quite crisp, and the gold-filled trim looks great with no brassing. The pressure bar on this Moore was missing, so I have replaced it with a new J bar. The lever is a bit loose as is common in my experience with these Moore lever-fillers. The 14kt. Moore nib is a smooth and wet XF (0.3mm) that flexes up to 1.7mm. The flex on this pen is too stiff to be classified as a super flex, but it is more responsive than usual for a “good flex” grade. It’s a great writing pen with a nice flex ability.
