Waterman 12 PSF – SUPER FLEX (SOLD)

Waterman 12 – SUPER FLEX  (On Ebay)

Here is a Waterman 12 PSF, which is the immediate predecessor to the 52. It’s basically just the 52 before Waterman changed it’s numbering system. The BCHR has faded some to a dark brown and the chasing is worn though visible. It actually still has some texture on the cap. The cap is missing the original clip. Imprints on the side and end of barrel are both very easily readable and the original red paint is in the end imprint. The nickel lever is worn some. No brassing is apparent but part of the “IDEAL” imprint is worn down. The threads on this 12 PSF are raised from the barrel rather than flush as normal to these models (Waterman tested several variations of the threads). The 14kt. Waterman #2 nib is a smooth writing F (0.4mm) with moderate wetness. It has some good flex going up to 1.7mm. The ease of flex is on the stiff side and I almost classified this as “good flex.” However, the responsiveness is superb so I graded it “super flex.”
