Moore L-72 Ring Top – Wet Noodle (See Price Here)
Here is a vintage Moore L-72 ring top. The body has some discoloration: parts that should be a light green have turned brownish. There is light scratching throughout the pen and some light bite marks on the end of the barrel. It’s mostly not very obvious unless you are looking carefully at the pen. The lever and ring top have little to no brassing. The lever is loose but works well. When I found this pen it never had the original lever bar but only a piece of sheet metal for a j-bar. I replaced it with a brand new j bar that makes filling work flawlessly. The hard rubber section has some marks around the end of it likely were someone was trying to pull out the section from the barrel. The beauty of this pen is the 14kt. Moore nib. It’s a fabulously responsive nib that flexes with ease. It’s not a paintbrush, but it takes quite little effort and snaps back about as good as you can expect of fountain pen nib to do. It is great for tiny, detail flexing as well as larger calligraphy work. (See Price Here)
