Conklin BCHR Vest Pen – Wet Noodle (On Ebay)
This is a nice little black hard rubber, Toledo made, Conklin vest size pen. The hard rubber has faded to a dark brown and the chasing has worn some but still has texture. The Conklin imprint is also a little worn, but again has texture and is easily readable. The gold filled trim is in excellent shape with no brassing and little to no scratching. This pen features a 14kt. Conklin #2 Toledo made nib. The nib does have a very small crack coming from the right corner of the crescent breather hole, and their is only a thin layer of tipping left. However, the flex on this pen is a wet noodle, almost paintbrush easy flex that goes up to a huge 2.2mm. It writes normally very smooth and quite wet. It works best with wet, lubricating inks like this Sailor Nioi-Sumire, but other inks work as well, though you might have to slow up a bit.
