Wirt Red Mottled Eyedropper – WET NOODLE (See Price Here)
Here is a gorgeous near mint condition Paul E. Wirt red mottled eyedropper pen. The pen looks and feels brand new. The only flaw in appearance is that the section where the slip cap rubs (as it should to keep the friction holding the cap on) is a bit less polished looking. But honestly if the rest of the pen didn’t look so good, it would just look normal. Just fantastic condition. Imprints are good and crisp. The section is ribbed for a good grip. The pen was made sometime in the early 1900s (it has a pat. date of 1904). Unfortunately, the pen does not have the famous unvented Wirt nib. Rather, it has a lovely Warranted 14kt. nib that writes as a smooth XXF with a very easy flex up to 1.7mm. If you want monster flex, this isn’t your pen. But if you want nice, easy flex capable of flex even on a very small detailed level, this is a great pen for it. It’s a fantastic piece of history in great condition. (See Price Here)
