Waterman 52 Red Ripple – Super Flex (On Ebay)
Here is a Waterman 52 in Red Ripple hard rubber. The red ripple still has pretty good color with relatively little fading. Not the best I’ve seen, but better than most. The cap has a very small crack going up from the clip. I have filled it with a quality adhesive and is hardly visible unless you are looking for it (see pics). There is brassing in the top and ball of the clip. A spot of brassing on the band. And some scuffing and brassing on the lever. Still the trim overall has good gold color. Imprints are all present and very readable, though a little worn. The pen has a personalization: “Joseph Watson.” The Waterman #2 14kt. nib is a quite smooth writing XF with some good flex ability going from 0.3mm to 2.1mm (BBB). Has decent though not outstanding responsiveness. A very nice example of Red Ripple 52.
