Waterma 52 1/2 – Wet Noodle (On Ebay)
This Waterman 52 1/2 is made of BCHR that has faded to a dark brown. The chasing is also almost worn off entirely on the body, though still visible on the cap. The side imprint is worn, but readable. The “52 1/2” imprint is good. The nickel plated lever is good overall with only minor plate loss. There is also some scratching on the cap. The nib, however, is a fantastic Wet Noodle. This Waterman #2 Canadian nib is an XXF (0.2mm) that flexes all the way to 2.0mm. Flex is very easy. It isn’t quite a paintbrush, but it is very close to that feeling. The XXF makes for some great hairlines. The nib does require that you keep your hand from rolling while flexing, or you will see some railroading. If you use a good flexing ink like Pilot Iroshizuku, you will see very little railroading.
