Parker Vacumatic – Wet Noodle (On Ebay)
Here a very unique pen. It is a Parker double Jewel, blue diamond Vacumatic with a very flexible stub nib. It is a Standard size Vac with a speed line filler. It is made of black celluloid. The clarity of the barrel is moderate. The gold filled trim has little to no brassing. The blue diamond enamel has mostly worn off. There are some teeth marks on the blind cap. The nib is really fascinating as you do not see many Vac nibs this flexible. Unfortunately, it does have small cracks coming out of each side of the air hole. I tried to capture them in a pic. It writes normally as a very wet bold. It is a bit stubbish but not significantly so. Normally it writes a 0.8mm line but flexes up to a huge 2.8mm line very easily. Pilot Iro inks work great in it, but I’ve noticed that some inks will start railroading. It’s a beautiful and interesting pen.
