Mabie Todd Swan Ring Top – Super Flex (On Ebay)
This is a New York made Mabie Todd Swan 2 S.F. (self filler) in BCHR. It is 4 1/2″ capped (not including the ring). There is some fading of black hard rubber. The body is still pretty dark, but the cap has lightened especially near the top. Imprint is still good. The ring top cap has a gap as it doesn’t quite come down all the way on to the cap. It holds firm, but there was either some shrinkage or this is a replacement or something. There is no brassing of the trim, or very little if there is. The lever has a few nicks on it and sticks out slightly from the body (see pic). The nib is great. It is a smooth XXF that flexes up to 2.0mm! It is very responsive. Even in the pics you can see the crispness of the flex. It makes beautiful flex writing.
