Waterman 52 1/2V Cardinal Red – Good Flex (On Ebay)
Gorgeous little Waterman 52 1/2V ring top in Cardinal Red hard rubber. Cardinal Red hard rubber is harder to come by than woodgrain or ripple pens and is thus valued higher. This is pen is excellent restored condition. Gold trim is in good shape with little to no brassing. I actually just installed a nice gold filled lever box. Slight color difference around the section and threads that were covered by the cap, as is usual. Imprints are pretty good, but with some wear on the “ER” of “WATERMANS” on the side. The Waterman #2 nib is a great, smooth writing XXF (0.2mm) that flexes to 1.3mm (sorry the picture is wrong) quite easily. It’s got a nice spring to it. Feed could be a bit better, but find a good pace and it does fine. Pretty easy to do some nice flex writing with. A great addition to any collection.
