Waterman 74 – Super Flex (On Ebay)

Here is a solid Waterman 74 eyedropper in black hard rubber. These pens were made when the 12s and 14s, etc. were phased out for lever fillers like the 52s. They have the size closer to a 52 but are eyedroppers. They have screw on caps and a nice well structured screw on section. They are high quality pens as you would expect from Waterman. This pen is smooth with no original chasing. The black has turned to a very dark brown-black. Imprints are worn and mostly unreadable though the “74” on the end is clear. The original clip fell off and was replaced by this accommodation clip that shows some wear but is in good condition. The 14kt. Waterman #4 is a superb, juicy fine stub (0.5mm) that will add some character to your writing. When flexed this nib goes up to BBB (1.8mm) with ease. It is quite responsive and has plenty of flow to keep up with pages of flexing. This is sturdy, superb eyedropper that will endure for many, many more years.

Waterman 52V – SUPER FLEX (On Ebay)

Here is a nice Waterman 52V in BCHR. The pen is not mint but is in good condition. The black hard rubber has lighted to a dark brown. The original chasing has mostly faded away. Imprints are worn but present and readable. There is a small hole in the side of the barrel. It does not pose any danger to the pen, but it wasn’t originally there. The gold filled trim on the pen looks lovely and I see no brassing. The ring top, however, is missing. The 14kt. Waterman #2 is a difficult to find XXF (0.2mm). It writes normally quite smoothly with a medium wetness. When flexed it the range is not huge going up to 1.5mm (BB). But due to its very fine tip, it is quite snappy allowing for some nice flex even with minimal pressure.

Waterman 12 – GOOD FLEX  (On Ebay)

Here is a Waterman 12 in smooth black hard rubber with no original chasing. The hard rubber is now a brown. The pen is also missing it’s original clip. Apart from those factors it is in good condition. The imprint on the side is pretty crisp, but some of it is worn. Still easy to read, though. The back imprint is also good. The 14kt. Waterman #2 is smooth writing XXF. The flex on this is on the stiffer side but is pretty responsive. The feed is so juicy that it doesn’t take much flex to get good line variation, especially when the nib is so fine to begin with. It’s vary capable of some really nice flex writing.

Mabie Todd Swan Red Mottled – Wet Noodle (See Price Here)

This is a phenomenal made in England Mabie Todd self-filler. The red-mottled hard rubber is still in excellent condition minimal (if any) fading. The gold filled trim on this pen really sets it off as a high end luxury item, and it all looks great with no brassing. The imprints are all good and crisp. The pen is really in near mint condition. The best part is that the 14kt. Mabie Todd Swan #2 nib is a superlative writing and flexing nib. With normal writing it is wet, soft, and elegant XF. With just a touch of pressure this nib will flex up to BBB (1.8mm). It has a near paintbrush softness to it and yet still remains springy and quite responsive. And it just feels great when you are flexing with it. Elegant is the word that keeps coming to mind. It just looks and feels like quality in every way.

Mabie Todd Swan Self-Filler – Good Flex  (On Ebay)

This is a made in England Mabie Todd Swan self-filler in BCHR. The black hard rubber is a shiny jet black and chasing is still very crisp. The only real flaw of the pen is that the end of the barrel appears to have been exposed to some hight heat softening the hard rubber enough to result in the end of the barrel being bent slightly. I didn’t even notice it for the longest time. The nickel plated clip looks great as does the black wide lever. Imprints also all looks very good. The 14kt. Mabie Todd #2 nib is a lovely writing, wet and smooth XF that is also a semi-flex nib. A nice quality Swan pen.

Wahl-Eversharp Tulip Clip with “Flexible” nib – Super Flex – (On Ebay)

This is a classy Wahl-Eversharp vest pen with the tulip clip. The original green body has darkened on most of the pen as is typical with these models. The top of the cap is the original color. The gold-filled trim is in overall good condition. There is a little bit of wear on the lever, but otherwise it all looks good. The black hard rubber section has faded some and has some scratches on it. The pen comes with a 14kt. Wahl-Eversharp #2 “Flexible” nib. It writes as a wet F. It’s super smooth and a great writer. It’s a beautiful pen with some amazing abilities.

Waterman 52V Olive Ripple Pen & Pencil – Super Flex  (On Ebay)

Here is a beautiful set of a Waterman pen and pencil in Waterman’s superb olive ripple hard rubber. The bodies of the pens have some darkening due to oxidation, but it isn’t pronounced. They both still look very good. The gold filled trim looks excellent. There is just a little brassing on the upper edge of the pen’s cap band. Also the “IDEAL” globe on the lever is partly worn off. Both pieces have the name “Sigred Johnson” engraved in the sides. I have not tested the pencil for functionality, but I assume it works. The pen is equipped with a lovely 14kt. Waterman #2 nib that is a juicy, wet writing F that has a soft, wet flex that goes from F (0.4mm) to BB (1.6mm). The flex comes very easily and has a nice spring to it. The original olive feed was too dry for the nib, so I replaced it with another black Waterman feed. However, I can switch it back or send it with the pen on request. This is an incredible set and the flex is outstanding.

Moore Gold Filled Ring Top – Wet Noodle  (See Price Here)

Here is a Moore gold filled ring top with a superb nib. The body of this pen is in good condition with no brassing save for a little on the end of the barrel. There is one ding of note on the side of the barrel. The pen does have some light scratching from use but nothing notable. It has a personalization on the cap that reads “F.W.” The star of the pen is the 14kt. Moore #2 nib that has near paintbrush softness. It writes normally was a very wet F (0.4mm) and flexes with ease up to 1.8mm. It also has some pretty good responsiveness to go along with the soft flex.

Wahl BCHR Ring Top – Super Flex/Wet Noodle – (On Ebay)

Here is a great little Wahl ring top in BCHR. The hard rubber is still quite black with just a little bit of fading. Chasing still looks pretty good, though it is worn on the back of the barrel. The imprint also looks good except towards the barrel end where it is also worn. The gold-filled lever looks good with no brassing. The pen is missing the ring top. The real star of this pen, though is the outstanding 14kt. Wahl #2 nib. It’s a wet writing F that has a very soft flex up to 1.8mm (BBB)! This is either a wet noodle or a near wet noodle. The feed is plenty wet to keep up. It’s not a big pen, but it has some big time flex ability.

Waterman Lady Patricia – Super Flex (On Ebay)

This Waterman’s Lady Patricia in Onyx. The gold-filled hardware on the pen is in good condition with no brassing. There is so significant discoloration on the cap due to what looks like ink staining. Imprint looks good, and there is a personalization on the barrel that reads “Adele Evans.” The 14kt. Waterman #2 nib is a joy to use. Many people believe that flex nibs have to flex huge, but this nib proves why big flex isn’t everything. This nib has a nice soft flex with a quality responsiveness. It has a flex range starting at a super fine XXF (0.2mm) and goes up to BB (1.4mm). Normal writing is springy and soft with a smooth XXF. Great nib.
