Waterman 52 1/2V Red Mottled – Super Flex  (On Ebay)

Here is Waterman 52 1/2 V in red mottled hard rubber. The pen is in excellent condition. There is a little bit of fading to the hard rubber, but it still has pretty good color. The gold-filled trim is also in good shape. There is a tiny bit of brassing on part of an edge on the band, but that is all that I see. Imprints on the side of the barrel are a little faded but readable. The “52 1/2V” on the back is good and crisp. The beauty of this pen is it’s nib. It is a wet writing F that is oblique. The oblique tip makes normal writing look more stub like and it makes the flex writing more crisp. The nib has fantastic flex with a range from F (0.4mm) to BBB+ (1.9mm)! That is a pretty massive range. The nib is soft and nearing wet noodle in ease of flex, but it isn’t quite there. It also has a great springy feel to it with good responsiveness. It’s a fantastic, unique pen.

Wahl Gold Filled #4 – Super Flex (On Ebay)

This is Wahl gold-filled pen with the clip and a #4 Wahl nib. The pen is in great condition. There is little to brassing on any of the pen. The only blemish is a deep scratch on the end of the barrel (see pic). The pen is engraved on the side “Robin to Nell.” The 14kt. #4 Wahl nib is juicy, wet writing F. It has very soft flex with near wet noodle ease of flex. It does occasionally railroad, but picks right back up. The nib, however, does have a small crack going out the back of the breather hole between the “A” and “H” of “WAHL.” Still is a fantastic pen and if you don’t over flex it, the crack shouldn’t spread.

Wahl-Eversharp Skyline – Super Flex – (On Ebay)

This is a gorgeous Wahl-Eversharp Skyline in Demi size. The pen is in navy blue with gold derby and wide gold band, and it’s just gorgeous. The gold-filled trim is in great condition with little to no brassing that I could find. The blue body is in good condition with only very faint scratches. The 14kt. Eversharp nib is smooth writing F that is wet but not gushing. It also has some nice flex up to BBB (1.8mm) with decent responsiveness. The flow of the feed is pretty good, but after flexing for awhile there might be a little railroading here and there. A beautiful pen in great condition.

Wahl BCHR Flat Top – Super Flex – (On Ebay)

Here is a full size Wahl flat top in black and marbled green. There is some discoloration on the green body at the ends, but it is quite good compared to most models of this type. The black hard rubber ends are still a jet, glossy black. The gold filled trim looks fantastic with no brassing. There is some fading on the black hard rubber section however. It is faded a little bit. The 14kt. #2 Wahl nib is a nice wet and smooth writing fine, and it has a juicy flex that ranges up to 1.7mm. It has good responsiveness and flexes quite easily. A beautiful pen with nice flex.

Waterman 52 Red Ripple – Super Flex (On Ebay)

Here is Waterman 52 in red ripple hard rubber. The hard rubber has some fading. One side has very little but it is more noticeable on the other. The cap is also missing the clip. The gold filled trim is in good condition. There is some brassing on the top edge of the band, but it blends pretty well. The lever looks good. The imprints are also in good condition with little fading. The 14kt. #2 Waterman is a beauty. It’s a wet, smooth writing XF that has some nice flex up to 1.6mm. It has excellent responsiveness that makes flex writing crisp and neat.

Moore L-82 – Super Flex/ Wet Noodle – (On Ebay)

Here is a Moore L-82 ring top vest pen. This model is similar in size and style to the Waterman 52V. The BCHR on this pen has faded dark grayish brown. The chasing is worn but still visible. The imprints are also worn and only partially readable. The ring top is missing, but the gold-filled lever has no brassing. This pen, however, houses a superb flex nib. The 14kt. Moore #2 is a wet writing XF (0.3mm) that flexes with ease up to a nice BB (1.6mm) line. The feed is plenty wet as well. This nib really borders between super flex and wet noodle. What really sets it off is the superb responsiveness. This is a great nib for artists and calligraphic work such as copperplate style.

Wahl-Eversharp Skyline – Super Flex – (On Ebay)

Here is a standard size Wahl-Eversharp Skyline in blue with gold-filled trim. The pen is in overall good shape. There is some light scratching throughout, but I have buffed and polished much of it out. There is a 5mm or so gash next to the tip of the clip where the tip dug into the body as the clip and derby were screwed on at some point. The gold filled trim looks very good. The only plate loss I see is a very tiny bit on the crown of the lever. The 14kt. Eversharp nib is a beauty. It is a very wet F/M (0.5mm) that writes glassy smooth. With the wetness it definitely feels like a Western medium. It is has some very nice flex that goes up to BBB (1.8mm)! It also has pretty decent responsiveness for how wet it is.

Wahl-Eversharp Doric Pen & Pencil Combo – Wet Noodle – (See Price Here)

Here is a set of full-size Wahl-Eversharp Doric pen and pencil in black celluloid. This is a first generation lever filler pen. The bodies both look very nice with only very light scratching. I’ve buffed and polished these to remove most of that. The gold-filled trim is in superb condition with no brassing and even very little signs of use. The pencil has the thinner band without the diamonds and has “R.R.G.” inscribed in the clip, and so this is likely not the original pencil that was combined with the pen. But I bought the set together, so I sell them together. The 14kt. Eversharp #2 “Flexible” nib is indeed very flexible. This is a soft, near paintbrush flex nib. It writes normally as a wet and smooth XF (0.3mm) but takes a light hand because it flexes with ease up to 1.7mm. It’s a beautiful pen with a gorgeous, wet “Flexible” nib.

Waterman 94 Mahogany – Super Flex  (On Ebay)

Here is a nice Waterman 94 in the very classy Mahagony celluloid. Personally, it is one of my Waterman models of this era. There is some light scratching throughout the pen, but I have buffed much of it out with micro mesh. There are some very light marks at the top of the cap. Perhaps, very light teeth marks, but they really are not very noticeable. Imprints all look very good. The gold-filled trim also looks great with no signs of brassing. The pen comes equipped with a 14kt. Waterman #4 keyhole nib. It’s a lovely writing F that writes with medium wetness. The flex on this is a top quality super flex with an easy of flex approaching wet noodle status, good flow, and very nice responsiveness. It’s a beautiful and classy pen with a gorgeous nib.

Conklin Crescent #30 –  Super Flex – (On Ebay)

Here is a very nice Conklin Crescent #30 in excellent condition. There is very little fading on the pen. Just a bit on the body. The chasing looks very crisp and imprints look good as new. The gold-filled trim is nearly flawless. This pen was rarely used. The 14kt. made in Toledo #3 Conklin nib is a beauty. You will not find a smoother XF nib on any pen. It’s smooth for a broad let alone an XF. Just a lovely, wet, smooth writing experience. It also has a very nice flex with excellent responsiveness. It’s everything you could want in a vintage pen.
