Waterman 52V – SUPER FLEX (On Ebay)

I don’t think I can say enough to communicate how nice this pen is. It’s a Canadian made Waterman 52V. The red rippled hard rubber is only slightly faded, though the section of the pen looks brand new. Imprint the side and back show slight wear, just a bit of braising on the top edge of the gold band, and a few tiny nicks on the lever. The name “E. Broomer” is also imprinted in the side (though you can hardly see the imprints in these rippled pens). But the nib is where this pen really shines. A super smooth XF that has Super Flex capabilities. I don’t know how to describe the flex on this nib other than to say it’s just smooth. It feels great to write with. I challenge any pen lover not to smile while writing with this pen. I know I sound like a salesman, but I love this pen.

Waterman 52 1/2 Gold Filled Ring Top (On Ebay)

A great little ring top that is in near mint condition.  You can see some small scratches and such from wear near the end of the barrell, but other than that you really have to search for an imperfection. “L.L.” is engraved in nice script on the side. The nib is smooth and very fine. It does run a bit on the dry side, so I would recommend a wet ink for it. The flex I would say is more Medium than Good. It flexes fairly easiy intially, but you have to put some decent pressure to get it’s full range. Still easier than a Noodlers pen (at least mine anyway). The pen is beautiful as you can see and durable and ultra portable. Perfect pocket pen. And with flex, so very cool.

Eversharp Skyline Demi with Pencil  (On Ebay)

A brown Eversharp Skyline Pen & Pencel combo. Another great Eversharp 14kt. nib that writes super smooth. The Skyline’s tapered design feels nice in the hand, even with these smaller demis. The nib is more a medium than a fine as I had indicated in the picture. The top of the cap had shrunk and was no longer able to screw in, so it had to be glued. It works great, but you won’t be able to unscrew it. There is some brassing on the lever. Other than that it is good condition. I really know nothing about mechanical pencils, so I do not know if it works or not.

Eversharp Skyline  (On Ebay)

Beautiful Skyline with Gold Filled cap. These Eversharp nibs are so smooth. Absolutely glorious fine, wet writing experience. Why don’t they make nibs like this anymore? Unfortunately, Eversharp’s plastic was not as good, and the barrell had a piece broken off near the section. I attached it all together and it works as normal. Even after significant amounts of micro mesh sanding, some crack filler, and of course buffing and polishing, you can still see the line if you look for it (See pictures). Some brassing on lever. Still a great pen.

Parker Duofold – Ground Italic  (On Ebay)

Parker Duofold (Made in USA) though it looks similar to the UK models. It’s a Parker, so a nice durable pen. The iridium was broken off one of the tines when I got it, so I ground it to a 0.9mm italic. Thus, no iriditum on the nib. Pretty decent line variation, smooth as butter, and super wet. The gold filled trim shows no signs of brassing. The black body has light scratchy on it from use. Decent but not outstanding condition.

Waterman 12 – WET NOODLE  SOLD

This pen is in near mint condition. The chasing shows almost signs of wear. The hart rubber has minimal browning. When I show this pen to non-fountain pen aficionados and ask them how old they think it is, I usually get a response like, “It looks pretty new to me.” I have done no polishing or blacking. It’s just nice. Plus the #2 nib is paint brush like with some massive flex lines going all the way up to at least 3.0mm. The nib also writes pretty nicely as regular Fine nib pen. I would say it’s between Fine and Medium.

Waterman Crusader – Fine Italic  SOLD

I personally really enjoy Waterman Taperite pens. They are, in my opinion, the underated counter to Parker 51s. Perhaps, partly because they are so difficult to restore without breaking. This fine pen was produced around 1948 and has a superb fine italic nib. Pretty crisp AND smooth. The gold cap does have a small ding in it. Otherwise, this pen is in superb condition. I love using this pen, so I’m pricing it kind of high. Plus, I think the nib really makes this pen. The italic is fine enough that you can use it for anything, and the slip cap makes it ultra convenient for joting whatever. I do not know the date of this pens production, but there is a 1923 patent date on the clip

Waterman 12 Eye Dropper SOLD

This pen is around a 100 years old and still writes amazing. There is some browning of the hard rubber and some scratches on the section near the nib. Otherwise, this is in good condition. This is an eye dropper with a slip cap equipped with the nickel “clip-clap” clip. The flex nib is very responsive and unflexed it lays down a nice wet extra fine line.

Wahl Gold Filled Ring Top (Good Flex) SOLD

These ring tops are great little pens. Durable, small, and extraordinarily portable. And with this Wahl #2 nib, it packs quite a punch for it’s size. Good for a daily writer or some nice flex work. The pen is in pretty good condition. The only major flaw is that some of the gold-filled plating chipped off the section near the nib (a flaw that is fairly common with these pens). Some light scratches on the gold and small ding at the base of the pen.

Orange Eclispe – Full Size Pen  SOLD

This is pen is in excellent condition. No braising of the gold trim and body shines like new. There are some small chips off the black cap end and a very small scratch by the lever. There is also a nick on the section. The 14kt. nib is soft and lays down a fine wet line. It’s a large pen that fits well in the hand. This was my first Eclipse pen restore and I was quite impressed with the quality of it’s construction for a 3rd tier pen company.

I do not know the date of this pens production, but there is a 1923 patent date on the clip
