Wahl Woodgrain Ring Top Vest Pen – Super Flex – (On Ebay)

Here is a beautiful Wahl in Woodgrain hard rubber. It’s a vest pen size with a ring top. The pen is in great condition as you can see from the pics. There is a bit of fading of the hard rubber but not a lot. The gold filled trim looks nice with very little wear and brassing. There is just a slight bit of brassing on the edges of the lever. The imprint on the cap is quite faded and barely readable, but these Wahl imprints were very light originally and frequently unreadable on hard rubber pens. The 14kt. Wahl #2 is lovely in every way. First, it is a smooth XF (0.3mm) that is just a joy to use. Added to that is the flex which comes easy and is fantastic. It ranges from XF (0.3mm) to BBB (1.6mm), but it’s the responsiveness that makes this nib top notch. As you can see from the writing samples, this nib snaps back with the best of them making crisp, calligraphic writing easy. As I said, it’s pure joy to use.

Waterman 12 (Near Mint) – Super Flex  (On Ebay)

Here is an almost perfect Waterman 12 eyedropper in BCHR. The black hard rubber is in rare good condition. There is very minimal fading, and it is still black and shiny. The chasing looks brand new with virtually no wear. The imprints are also crisp as new. The only small defect is that the section has a few light teeth marks (see pic). The 14kt. Waterman #2 is also a superb Fine (0.4mm) that writes on the wet side and is soft and buttery smooth. It has a huge flex range going from F (0.4mm) to BBB+ (1.9mm). The flex is quite wet with average responsiveness, but with that kind of range it doesn’t have to be super responsive. It’s not a wet noodle but flex comes pretty easy. Rare condition, beautiful writer, with great flex.
